SEO Article Copywriting

Daniboy Google SERP!

Copywriting Introduction

I regularly write pieces for article directories. Some are about writing, some are general business advice. Usually between 400-700 words and each featuring a keyword-strong title that I think will be searched for.

You'd think that giving away free content wouldn't be a priority for your website, but the backlinks you get from the directories are great for your website's Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).

If your search engine results aren't good, no one is going to find you on the Internet. Can you afford to throw away the money you could get from pre-qualified potential customers searching for companies like you?

Copywriting Audience

Internet-savvy webmasters and blog publishers. Articles uploaded to the directories can be reproduced for free on individual websites and blogs, provided the author credit and website links are also given.

A well-written article can be seen by dozens -- hundreds -- of potential customers, creating a viral effect whereby you are not only getting a huge number of backlinks, you are also being seen as a thought leader.

It's a win-win situation: the webmasters and blog publishers get free content for their sites, while the article authors get free publicity and SEO-important backlinks to their site.

SEO Article Writing: Does It Work?

You can see the result in the picture here. Out of over 25 million websites using the keywords "marketing copywriter" (one of my important keyword phrases) in March 2008, www.daniboy.com was the website in 1st position.

I'm also in Google UK's top 5 results for the keyword "copywriter".

And Google.com? Check out the screengrab to the left. After Wikipedia, a US government organisation and a UK university site, in November 2008 my site had the number one result on Google. That's right. Google.com. Out of over five million results. It's a competitive word, so the placing will never last, but it's pretty good to have!

SEO is doable. It's not rocket science and you don't need the marketing resources of Microsoft to get good results.

If I can get a top-five position for my most important keyword for my freelance copywriting website, I can do a job for you, too.

Give me a call.
